Episode 15 - What History Needed Was A Wide Turkey W/ Alasdair of Praxiscast

It's a slightly hungover episode, as we set the scene the for the 50s in Turkey, recap some of how we got here and we look at the innovative ways that Turkey tried to get closer to NATO. What they do might surprise you! It probably wont, but it's important for us to see what the price of being close to the western bloc may have been for Turkey who were really afraid of the Soviet Union. Also we'll be giving some background on our new main characters in government Celal Bayar and Adnan Menderes, who will have a big hand in the new Democrat Party government that will hold power throughout the decade ahead.
